The session took place today at the Conference Hall of the State Project Management Unit. The meeting, held between Kano-ACReSAL on behalf of the Kano State Government through the Ministry of Environment (the client) and the engaged supervision firm, aimed to acquaint both parties with the terms and conditions necessary for the successful execution of the assignment. Roles and responsibilities of the parties were clearly defined, including scope of the work, technical approach and methodology. Other key items deliberated upon included the work plan and activity schedule, counterpart staffing, facilities and equipment, reimbursable, taxes and liabilities, among others. The session was presided over by the Environmental Safeguard Officer, Alhaji Mukhtar Bello, on behalf of the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Abdulhamid Bala. In attendance were the Procurement Officer, Salisu Muhammad Fagge; the Project Engineer, Buhari Abdullahi; representatives from the Project Accounting and Auditing Unit; the Climate Change Officer; the Water Resources Officer; the Natural Resources Officer; and the MIS/ICT Unit, among others.
